United will be looking to build on their 2-1 win over Chelsea, a result that eased some pressure on Ruben Amorim. Management and players will be desperate to string back-to-back league victories together for the first time under his stewardship, a stat that everyone wants to get rid of. Brentford have had a mixed start under Keith Andrews, and sit three points below United.
Brentford are unbeaten in their last three home games against United, but with a weakened lineup compared to previous season, United will be looking to end a seven game winless run away from home. Brentford will look to be physical and compact at the back, and will look to cause United problems from throw ins and set pieces. Brentforf were dangerous from these situations against Chelsea, and salvaged a last minute draw directly from a throw in (where Garnacho fell asleep). Brentford don't seem to be missing anyone for the fixture, although Nelson is a doubt due to injury.

Bryan Mbuemo, who has looked very sharp for United this season, returns to his former club and United fans will be hopeful to see him score at the stadium for United this time, as he netted in the 4-0 defeat at the start of Ten Haags first season. There hasn't been a bad word to say about Mbeumo from fans and people around United and looks the real part. The player left on good terms and will be received well by the Brentford fans. His work rate and aggression both in and out of possession is why both sets of fans have taken to the French/Cameroonian winger and will hopefully cause the Brentford backline some problems in behind.
The United goalkeeping saga continues, with reports circulating during the week that Lammens will be handed a debut on Saturday. Bayindir was solid against Chelsea so it will be interesting to see who Amorim chooses. De Ligts height will be crucial in defending against Brentfords set pieces, and he may look to strengthen the backline in the air with Maguire too. The midfield is another contentious spot in the team, with Casemiro suspended, the manager will have to choose one of Mainoo or Ugarte to partner Bruno. Brentfords midfield isn't extremely physical so the mix of Mainoo and Bruno might work, although Ruben hasn't favoured this combination. The front three will likely be made up of Sesko, Cunha and Mbuemo. The physicality, pace and forward running of the three will be crucial to try get three points.
United team news: Amad misses out due to a family bereavement. Martinez and Mazaroui are both out injured. Casemiro is suspended.
